Generating an Event When a Disk Instance is Deleted
You can specify whether you want the product to generate an event if any of the monitored disk instances are deleted.
When the KM detects a new disk, the product creates a new instance. If a monitored disk goes offline, the product deletes the instance. The product enables you to generate an event if any of the disks connected to the system go offline.
To Specify the Preference to Generate an Event
- Access the DISK application menu as described in Accessing KM Commands and InfoBoxes.
- Select Event On Instance Deletion. You can specify the type of event (INFORMATION, WARNING, or ALARM) to be generated when a monitored disk instance is deleted. When a new disk instance is detected, an INFORMATION event is generated.
