Announcement Support for this product will end on November 3, 2025. We recommend that you use PATROL for Linux, PATROL for AIX, or PATROL for Solaris to monitor operating systems.

Listing print jobs


This task describes how to view a list of all print jobs assigned to an individual printer or all print jobs assigned to all printers.

Before You Begin

PATROL can list print jobs by printer and by user. These tasks list either all print jobs assigned to an individual printer or all print jobs assigned to all printers. For information on how to view print jobs on owned by a specific user, see viewing print jobs that belong to a user.

To list the jobs on a printer

  1. Access the PRINTER application menu for the printer instance as described in Accessing-KM-Commands-and-InfoBoxes.
  2. Select List Print Jobs.

    PATROL writes the results to a PATROL task object, List Print Jobs, in the PRINTER container.
  3. Access the List Print Jobs task object and view the results.

To list the jobs on all printers

  1. Access the PRINTER application menu for a printer instance as described in Accessing-KM-Commands-and-InfoBoxes.
  2. Select List All Print Jobs.
  3. PATROL writes the results to a PATROL task object, List All Print Jobs, in the PRINTER container.
  4. Access the List All Print Jobs task object and view the results.
