Guidelines

Announcement Support for this product will end on November 3, 2025. We recommend that you use PATROL for Linux, PATROL for AIX, or PATROL for Solaris to monitor operating systems.

PSL Collection Exceptions

When you use the PSL collection method, PATROL deactivates the parameters listed below on the specified platforms. When a parameter is deactivated, PATROL does one of two things:

  • Does not create the parameter
  • If the parameter was created by using the DCM collection method, the PSL collection method does not update it.

Restarting PATROL after changing the collection method ensures that parameters that are not updated by the PSL collection method are deleted.
