Guidelines

Announcement Support for this product will end on November 3, 2025. We recommend that you use PATROL for Linux, PATROL for AIX, or PATROL for Solaris to monitor operating systems.

Collection Methods


Two collection methods are available to the PATROL Knowledge Module for UNIX. The two methods use separate Collector Parameters. The collectors are

  • DCM Collector – employs the Perform Collector and DCM binary to gather information for application classes and uses collector parameters with –Ctrl suffix to control the poll time and status; DCMColl monitors this collection process
  • PSL Collectors – employs PSL collector parameters with the –Coll suffix, except for the DCMColl, to gather information for application classes

Unavailable Parameters by Collection Method
