Generating reports
The PATROL Knowledge Module for UNIX provides reports for NFS, NIS, TCP/IP, and UUCP.
NFS and NIS Reports
- Access the NFS application menu as described in Accessing-KM-Commands-and-InfoBoxes.
Choose the report by selecting the application instance type > Reports > menu command.
NIS
- List Accounts - displays all the user accounts registered on the Network Information System
- List Groups - displays all the groups registered on the Network Information System
- List Servers - displays a list of all NIS servers Reports
NFS
List Servers - displays a list of all NFS servers
PATROL creates a task icon in the UNIX OS container.
- Open the window to view the list of collected statistics. If the window appears empty, scroll to the top of the window to see the report.
- If you want to rerun the report at a later time, using the right mouse button from the task icon, select Repeat.
- If you want to delete the task icon, using right mouse button from the task icon, select Destroy.
TCP/IP and UUCP Reports
- Access the NETWORK application menu as described in Accessing-KM-Commands-and-InfoBoxes.
Choose the report by selecting the application instance type > Reports > menu command.
TCP/IP
- List Hosts - displays a list of all hosts that use TCP/IP
- List Protocols - displays the TCP/IP protocols
- List Services - displays all TCP/IP services available
- List Trusted Hosts - displays a list of all trusted hosts on the networkReports
UUCP
- List Server Name - displays all the hosts known to UUCP
- Show Log - displays the UUCP log file
- Show Statistics - displays the status of previously specified UUCP menu items or provides the general status of the UUCP connections to other systems

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
