9.13.20.04: Patch for PATROL for UNIX and Linux
The PATROL for UNIX and Linux 9.13.20.04 patch corrects issues reported in earlier versions of PATROL for UNIX and Linux. This topic contains information about fixes in this patch and provides instructions for downloading and installing the patch.
To download the installation files
Select and download the installation files for your platform; see the following table. Use your BMC Support credentials to access the EPD website. You might also be prompted to complete the Export Compliance Form.
Installing the patch
Before you begin
You must install the patch on the following computers:
- Hosts that are running the PATROL Agent
- Hosts that are running the PATROL Console
Before you install the patch, complete the following steps:
- Stop the PATROL Agent.
- Back up the PATROL_CACHE directory.
- Delete all PATROL for UNIX and Linux files from the PATROL_CACHE directory.
- Back up the PATROL_HOME/lib/knowledge and PATROL_HOME/lib/psl directories.
To install the PATROL for UNIX and Linux 9.13.20.04 patch using a TrueSight Presentation Server
Follow the instructions in Installing using TrueSight console.
To install the PATROL for UNIX and Linux 9.13.20.04 patch in a PATROL environment
Follow the typical installation instructions in Installing-using-PATROL-console.
After you complete the installation steps, you can delete the temporary directory and its contents.
