Guidelines

Announcement Support for this product will end on November 3, 2025. We recommend that you use PATROL for Linux, PATROL for AIX, or PATROL for Solaris to monitor operating systems.

Num Of Executions per Minute (PAWorkRateExecsMin)

Description

This parameter displays the number of operating system process executions performed per minute by the PATROL Agent. The parameter gets this information from the built-in PATROL Agent namespace variable, /execsPerMin.

Default Action Taken by PATROL

When the alarm state occurs, the PATROL Agent will try to set the scheduling policy value to 9 (Schedule Force Delta and Schedule From End). When the parameter goes out of the alarm state, the scheduling policy value returns to the default value of 1.

Recommendations

This parameter is part of the agent's self-tuning mechanism, so user action is required.

Range Thresholds

If the warning or alarm states persist, contact PATROL Support.
