AIX VIRTUALIZATION (VIRTUALIZATION)
The AIX VIRTUALIZATION application enables you to configure and manage IBM AIX micropartitions on POWER5 servers. To support AIX virtualization technology, the information provided by the UNIX KM is classified into configuration and CPU utilization information. Eight parameters of AIX VIRTUALIZATION application, six parameters of CPU application and two parameters of DCM application class support AIX micropartitioning.

Attributes (parameters)
The PATROL Knowledge Module for UNIX uses AIX VIRTUALIZATION parameters to support AIX virtualization technology. The information provided by the UNIX KM is classified into configuration and CPU utilization information. The CPU utilization information is monitored by special AIX SPLPAR CPU parameters. The following AIX virtualization parameters are included in the AIX VIRTUALIZATION application class. Instances of AIX VIRTUALIZATION application class is displayed only on the AIX 5.3 platform.
