Schedule Blackouts dialog box


You can use this dialog box to create and schedule blackout periods for application instances in your environment.

Description

Blackout Script Files group box

lists the full path and file name for all blackout scripts that are being managed by the PATROL KM for UNIX

Action group box

select one of the following options:

  • Add New Blackout Script—spawns the Blackout-Script-File-Name-dialog-box, which you can use to create a blackout script
  • View Selected Script—spawns the View-Selected-Script-dialog-box, which you can use to view a blackout scriptYou must highlight a blackout script in the Blackout Script Files group box before selecting this option.
  • Modify Selected Script—spawns the Blackout-Instance-Selection-dialog-box, which you can use to modify an existing blackout scriptYou must highlight a blackout script in the Blackout Script Files group box before selecting this option.
  • Delete Selected Script—deletes the blackout scriptYou must highlight a blackout script in the Blackout Script Files group box before selecting this option.
  • Schedule Selected Script—spawns the Schedule-a-PATROL-PSL-Script-dialog-box, which you can use to schedule the selected blackout script for execution.You must highlight a blackout script in the Blackout Script Files group box before selecting this option.
  • Cancel Existing Blackout (Selected Script)—ends a blackout in the PATROL Agent using the instances defined in the selected scriptPATROL restores monitoring on the applications and instances that were part of the blackout script. You must highlight a blackout script in the Blackout Script Files group box before selecting this option.

Status group box

This group box provides a scrolling, 10-line log of the actions that have been performed through this dialog box.

OK

saves and applies the changes that were made in this dialog box

Close

closes this dialog box without applying any further changes
