25.3
Associate monitoring devices with individual URLs
In the URL Monitoring monitor type, you can independently map each URL to a specific device by overriding the global device mapping configuration. This capability improves event traceability by ensuring that events are accurately linked to the correct device.
With this capability, you get the following benefits:
- Reduced false alarms that are caused by incorrect or shared device associations.
- Faster root cause analysis with precise event-device mapping.
- More reliable monitoring with granular control over URL-to-device mapping.
For more information, see Configuring URL Monitoring.
Annotation support for URL Monitoring
In the URL Monitoring monitor type, you can enable annotations for parameters such as Response code, Monitoring status, File-based monitoring errors, Content matched, and Availability to include descriptive messages, such as HTTP status details. This enhancement provides a context for response codes and other monitoring parameters by including descriptive annotations, helping you understand the error. For more information, see Configuring URL Monitoring.
Edge Browser support in Synthetic monitoring
PATROL for Synthetic monitoring supports the execution of synthetic monitoring scripts by using the Microsoft Edge browser. With this capability, you get flexibility in script execution, and it helps reduce browser compatibility issues across monitored environments.
Transaction-level accuracy and availability metrics in Synthetic Monitoring
Synthetic monitoring supports tracking accuracy and availability metrics for individual transactions within scripts by using custom timers. With this capability, you can monitor the reliability of each individual transaction within the script. This improves monitoring precision and enables faster root cause analysis by capturing errors at the transaction level instead of only at the script level. For more information about the metrics, see Custom Timer (STM_CUSTOM_TIMER).
Annotation support for AccuracyErrors and AvailabilityErrors parameters
Annotation support is added for the AccuracyErrors and AvailabilityErrors parameters in the Script Execution Plan. This enhancement helps you understand the nature of failures by providing descriptive context. This capability enables quicker diagnosis and resolution of issues in Synthetic Monitoring workflows.
