Architecture

Use the Python-Selenium scripts to write the code to monitor a web application. These script files are provided as input to BMC Helix Operations Management and TrueSight Operations Management when you configure a monitor policy. Selenium and Python are installed on PATROL for Synthetic Monitoring and use these scripts to monitor your application and run the code in the script for the given time interval.   

For example, you are monitoring a website to know the log on time. You write a script to access the log on time of the website. PATROL for Synthetic Monitoring collect the time. You can use this information to monitor the log on operations that require long log on time and identify the issues in the application.
