Upgrading

This section helps you to upgrade your PATROL for Sybase to the latest version of the KM.

Upgrading the KM from PATROL for Sybase version 10.8 to version 11.0.x

  1. Stop the PATROL Agent.
  2. Install the new PATROL for Sybase KM.
  3. Start the PATROL Agent.
    1. The KM automatically creates the new Pconfig structure (no need to reconfigure)
    2. Add the JAVA home at /SYBASE/JAVA_HOME to Pconfig.
  4. Restart the PATROL Agent.

Upgrading the KM from PATROL for Sybase version 11.0.0 or 11.0.10 to version 11.0.20

  1. Stop the PATROL Agent.
  2. Install the new PATROL for Sybase KM.
  3. Start the PATROL Agent.
    1. Add the JAVA home at /SYBASE/JAVA_HOME to Pconfig.
  4. Restart the PATROL Agent.
Warning

Note

By default, the path of JAVA_HOME will have /bin/java in it. You need to enter the path except /bin/java.

For example:

The java process is running from /home/patrol/jre/bin/java. You need to enter /home/patrol/jre only as java home, by default the KM will add /bin/java to it.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
