PATROL monitoring account requirements

This section explains what is needed for the PATROL monitoring account for the PATROL for Sybase configuration. 

PATROL for Sybase requires the following roles for the PATROL monitoring account:

Value for role_granted

Description

sa_role

This is used for full monitoring

mon_role

This is used for partial monitoring. If only this role is assigned to the PATROL monitoring account the following advanced categories will not collect data:

  • MetaData Cache Management
  • Worker Process Management
  • Parallel Query Management
  • Capacity

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
