Schedule scripts to monitor Windows and LINUX profiles at specific intervals
In Windows and Linux monitor profiles, users can schedule monitoring scripts to run on specific days, on certain dates of a month, or within a defined time frame which enhances system performance. For more information, see Configuring-Windows-PowerShell-monitor-type and Configuring-LINUX-UNIX-shell-scripts-monitor-type.
2.1.03
Enable event generation for a single-value script output
Users can enable or disable event generation for single-value script outputs. When the checkbox is selected, an event is generated in BMC Helix Operations Management.
For more details about event generation, see the following resources:
- Configuring Windows PowerShell monitor type
- Configuring LINUX-UNIX shell scripts monitor type

Notify users of SSL certificate expiry
Users receive timely notifications before their certificates expire, allowing for seamless renewal. This feature ensures uninterrupted service and prevents any disruptions caused by expired certificates.
For more details about SSL certificate expiry, see Using sample scripts for monitoring (Linux).
Setting up the device type
Setting up the device type ensures consistent visibility of device names across all BMC Helix Operations Management instances.
For more details about setting device type, see Mapping instances to devices.
