Managing the collection of CCMS parameters

You can control which performance-type CCMS parameters and which non-performance CCMS parameters are retrieved from the SAP Solution Manager upon discovery. Two separate menu commands enable you deactivate and activate the collection of each type of CCMS parameters, either for the whole SAP system or for individual CCMS Contexts below it.

Note

For CCMS Contexts for which you do not want data collection of both types of CCMS parameters (performance and non-performance), you can manage the CCMS Contexts instead, as described in Data displayed for SAP PI systems.

To manage the monitoring of performance-type CCMS parameters

  1. From the PATROL Console work area, right-click a discovered SAP system
  2. Select KM Commands > Data Collection > Manage Performance Parameters.
  3. In the Performance Parameters Collection dialog box, set the SID-level configuration on the left to either Active Collection or Inactive Collection. The default is Active Collection.
  4. To override the SID-level configuration with Context-level configuration for any individual CCMS Contexts, select names of CCMS Contexts in the list on the left (under SID Level Configuration ) and move them to the relevant list on the right. Use the Move Selection To Active Collection arrow or the Move Selection To Inactive Collection arrow to move names of CCMS Contexts to Context-level configuration lists.
To move CCMS Contexts back to the SID-level configuration setting, use the Move Selection To SID Level Configuration arrow.
  5. When you have finished moving CCMS Contexts between the lists, select Done.
  6. Click Apply.

To manage the monitoring of non-performance CCMS parameters

  1. From the PATROL Console work area, right-click a discovered SAP system
  2. Select KM Commands > Data Collection > Manage Non-Performance Parameters.
  3. In the Non-Performance Parameters Collection dialog box, set the SID-level configuration on the left to either Active Collection or Inactive Collection. The default is Inactive Collection.
