Disabling and enabling data collection for an individual SID or CCMS Context


You can disable data collection for an individual discovered SAP system or CCMS Context, and subsequently re-enable data collection at any time. After disabling an SAP system or CCMS Context, you can remove the item from display in the PATROL Console.

To disable data collection

  1. From the PATROL Console work area, right-click one of the following existing nodes, depending on the level that you are interested in:
    The [confluence_table-plus] macro is a standalone macro and it cannot be used inline.
  2. Select KM Commands > Data Collection > Disable.
  3. If you want to cancel automatic discovery for the SAP system or CCMS Context, select the Cancel automatic discovery check box in the Confirmation message.
     If you do not cancel automatic discovery, all data collection is enabled once again the next time the SAP Solution Manager system is discovered.
  4. Click Yes in the Confirmation message.

To remove a disabled item

  1. From the PATROL Console work area, right-click a disabled SAP system or CCMS Context node.
  2. Select KM Commands > Data Collection > Remove.
  3. Click Yes in the Confirmation message.

To enable data collection

  1. From the PATROL Console work area, right-click a disabled SAP system or CCMS Context node.
  2. Select KM Commands > Data Collection > Enable.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
