Controlling the creation of dynamic KMs

During discovery, CCMS parameters (instances of the SSM_DPARAM_ prm _ unit and SSM_DPARAM_ textType _ prm application classes) are retrieved from SAP Solution Manager through dynamic KMs, and each instance reflects the name of the individual CCMS parameter. If necessary for troubleshooting purposes, you can disable (and subsequently enable) the automatic creation of any new dynamic KMs.

To enable or disable automatic creation of dynamic KMs

  1. From the PATROL Console work area, right-click an existing SAP Solution Manager system (SSM_SOLMAN).
  2. Select KM Commands > Data Collection > Enable or Disable Automatic KM Creation.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To disable automatic creation of dynamic KMs, select the displayed check box.
    • To enable automatic creation of dynamic KMs, clear the displayed check box.
  4. Click OK

    Note

For the dynamic KMs to display properly, ensure that you have loaded the ssm_d.kml. Load this kml after all other application classes have been discovered, and after you receive a reminder message in the System Output Window. For instructions on loading KMs, see Loading and unloading KMs.
