Remedy forms configuration

This topic provides information about configuring Remedy AR Server System forms using Central Monitoring Administration. For more information about using Remedy AR qualifications and expressions, see Building qualifications and expressions.

On the Add Monitor Types dialog, with the Monitoring Profile set to AR Systems, and the Monitor Type set to Remedy forms configuration provide the following details:

Description

Monitor label

Enter the unique user-defined system form label that you have provided while Configuring-AR-Server-Systems. 

Form name

Enter the system form name that you want to add in the list for monitoring.

For example, for adding User forms, enter User as the form name. If you are using strings of queries in the field, for more information, see Building qualifications and expressions

Search criteria

Enter a specific search criteria for filtering the forms you want to add in the list for monitoring.

For example, for filtering User forms based on the Creator as Administrator and License Type as Fixed, enter the following criteria:

'Creator' = "Administrator" AND 'License Type' = "Fixed"

Value type

Select one following option:

  • Absolute: If the Search criteria is resolved, then each form you filtered based on the search criteria will return its current status, count, and response time values.

  • Delta: If the Search criteria is resolved, then each form you filtered based the search criteria will return the difference between the current and previous status, count, and response time values.

     

    Note

    For absolute value type, it will return the count, and response time values of a form only if the status of that form is okay.

Add to List

Click this option for confirming the configuration information that you provided.

Modify Selection

Select one of the items that you added to the list in the preceding step, and click this option to modify details.

Remove from List

Select the items added earlier and click this option to delete that item from the list of configured objects and to clear the details provided in the earlier fields.

Reset

Click this option to clear off your configuration details and revert to default settings.

Add

Add Click this option to add this monitoring configuration. This information is displayed on the Monitor Configuration.

After you click this option, you can continue to add more objects for monitoring.

Close

Click this option to exit without saving any changes.
