Excluding users from session monitoring
If you know that specific users open many sessions, and you do not want their sessions to be monitored, you can set user exclusion.
- Depending on the type of users, whether regular Oracle Applications users or self-service application users, select the Setup > User Sessions > Exclude/Re-include Users menu command from either the APP_USER (OA_USER) application menu or from the SELF_APP_USER (OA_SELF_APP_USERS) application menu.
The Exclude/Re-include Users dialog box appears. - In the User Name field, type the name of the user you want excluded from session monitoring.
- Select Exclude User, and click Accept.
The user is excluded from session monitoring (as reported by parameters ListMultiLoginUser and NumMultiLoginUser or parameters ListSelfAppMultiLoginUser and NumSelfAppMultiLoginUser).
To remove users from the exclusion list, perform the following procedure:
- From the APP_USER (OA_USER) or SELF_APP_USER (OA_SELF_APP_USERS) application menu, select Setup > User Sessions > Exclude/Re-include Users.
The Exclude/Re-include Users dialog box appears. - From the Users Excluded list, select the name of the excluded user that you now want monitored.
- Select Re-include User and click Accept.
The user will now be monitored again (using parameters ListMultiLoginUser and NumMultiLoginUser or parameters ListSelfAppMultiLoginUser and NumSelfAppMultiLoginUser).
