Selecting concurrent managers for monitoring

Use the following procedure to add or remove concurrent managers from the list of monitored concurrent managers. The status of the concurrent managers that are selected for monitoring will be checked to see that they are always running and that the target processes they use are running.

If any one of the included concurrent managers is down, the state parameter MGRMustExist will enter an alarm state.

Note

The Standard Manager and the Conflict Resolution Manager are monitored by default and are always included in the Included Concurrent Managers list. This is the case so long as your language ID for Oracle Applications is US or AMERICAN. If you have set Oracle Applications to some other language ID, there is no out-of-box default for the monitoring of concurrent managers.

  1. Follow the applicationID (OA_SYSTEM) > CONC_MGR (OA_CONM) pathway.
  2. Select the Setup > Include Concurrent Managers command from the CONC_MGR (OA_CONM) menu.
The Include Concurrent Manager dialog box appears.
  3. From the Available Managers list, select the concurrent managers you want to monitor and click Accept.
The selected concurrent managers have been added to the list and their status will be monitored by the MGRMustExist state parameter.
