Activating individual concurrent managers

Use the following procedure to activate individual concurrent managers. You can instruct the Internal Manager to activate a specific and individual concurrent manager.

Before you begin

  • Make sure you have access to the OS applmgr user name and password.
  • Identify the requests that are currently running by reviewing the ListRunningPendingReq parameter (for requests in Normal status) and the ListRunningPendingPausedReq parameter (for requests in PausedWaiting, or No Manager status), which are located within CONC_REQUEST (OA_REQUEST application).

To activate individual concurrent managers

  1. Follow the applicationID (OA_SYSTEM) > CONC_MGR (OA_CONM) > CONMGR_applicationID (OA_CONM_HOST) pathway.
    The concurrent_manager_name (OA_MGR) icons appear.
  2. From the desired concurrent_manager_name menu, select the Activate Manager command.
The OS Account Info dialog box appears.
  3. Enter the operating system applmgr user name and password and click Accept.
The progress and results of the command are reported in the task output window. The menu command instructs the Internal Manager to activate a specific and individual concurrent manager. The dimmed concurrent manager icon becomes active.
