Troubleshooting missing or dimmed icons


After customizing BMC PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite according to your needs, you might find that some icons under the APPLICATION application class (OA_APPLICATION) are missing or are dimmed. The appearance of the icons depends on your selection of the different scaling options that BMC PATROL for Oracle E-Business Suite provides.

The following chart shows the results of scaling within the APPLICATION application class based on scaling options that are activated. As seen below, for all parameters and menu commands to appear under the APPLICATION application class, you must select all related scaling options. Within the APPLICATION column:

  • NO means that no icons appear under OA_APPLICATION and, consequently, menu commands do not function and parameters do not appear.
  • Icons only means that icons appear under OA_APPLICATION and the menu commands work. Only User and Process parameters can appear under the icons.
  • YES, dimmed means that icons appear but they are dimmed. Therefore no menu commands are available and only User and Process parameters can collect data.
  • YES means that icons, menu commands and parameters all appear and function properly.

Within the User/Process Parameters columns

  • NO means that the User/Process parameters do not appear under any of the icons.
  • YES, dimmed means that the User/Process parameters appear under all icons but they are dimmed. Therefore they do not collect data.
  • YES means that the User/Process parameters appear under all icons and are functional.
