Troubleshooting PATROL environment variables
It is recommended to source the patrolrc.sh script before initiating the BMC PATROL Agent. This script sets the Patrol environment variables. Whenever issues occur, confirm that the environment is set up correctly using the following command from the System Output Window (SOW):
%PSL print(getenv("PATROL_HOME"));
This command should return the full path to the PATROL home directory. If it does not, then the Agent startup was not performed correctly.
In a multiple-tier Oracle Applications environment, ensure that all BMC PATROL Agents are of the same version. Differing PATROL versions might result in repeated occurrences of the PSL function <function> failed in the SOW message.
