Modify OA Server Configuration dialog box
Use this dialog box to enter the application and database information about the Oracle Apps server so that PATROL can monitor the server.

Field | Description |

Application System Information |

OA Environment File | Enter the full path of the Oracle application environment file on the host (either on the database host, or, if using a stand-alone database, on the application server). The default file name depends on your version of Oracle Applications:

OA Printer | Enter the default printer name for the concurrent manager (optional) |
Alert Mail | Enter the mail daemon process including all arguments. The Alert Mail Process is used to send Oracle alert messages via Oracle Office, UNIX Mail, or VMS Mail. |
Database Information |

OA Username | Enter the Oracle Applications database account name, which owns the application tables |
OA Password | Enter the password for the Oracle Applications database account |
DB TNS_ADMIN | Enter the location of the tnsnames.ora file in the Oracle user environment (TNS_ADMIN variable) |
Application Server Information |

Applications Oracle Home | Enter the ORACLE_HOME directory which contains the client components and libraries with which the application libraries are linked |
Applications TNS_ADMIN | Enter the location of the tnsnames.ora file in the Oracle Applications user environment. This is typically the APPLMGR user environment. (TNS_ADMIN variable) |
The following fields are optional for all users: OA Printer, Alert Mail, and DB TNS_ADMIN. The field Applications TNS_ADMIN is conditionally required.
In addition to the above fields, the following options can be selected:
- Scale data collection enables you to tailor the scope of your monitoring to suit your requirements.
- Optional Servers: Monitoring of middle-tier servers is optional. If you want to configure middle-tier servers, check the corresponding check boxes.
