OA_PROCESS Setup menu


The OA_PROCESS Setup menu contains the following KM-specific menu commands:

Command

Description

High CPU Threshold

Sets the percentage of CPU utilization that a process can reach before it is recorded as a high CPU process. The out-of-box setting is 50%.

Long Idle Threshold

Sets the number of minutes that a process can be idle before it is recorded as a long idle process. The out-of-box setting is 60 minutes.

Annotation

Allows you to select which parameters of OA_PROCESS are to be annotated if they are in WARN or ALARM state. The default is not to annotate, regardless of the state of the parameters.

Scale Data Collection

Allows you to select which options (optional parameters) are to be monitored. If there are some parameters that you are not interested in, you can exclude them from monitoring, thus saving CPU cycles.

Disconnected Process Detection

The KM will enter an alarm state if a process specified in the watch list loses its database connection.

Accesses the following menu commands:

  • Add Process Name
  • View/Delete Process Name
  • Specify Process Type
