BMC PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite on database tier

The three-tier environment can be structured in two ways: standard, or stand-alone database. In the standard option, part of the application tier resides on the database server machine. In this case, BMC PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite is installed on the database server. The following table displays the component locations for the standard three-tier configuration.

BMC PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite on application tier: stand-alone database

In a stand-alone configuration, the database server has no application tier installed. In this case, the product should be installed on an application server, rather than on the stand-alone database server.
