Verifying installation requirements
The following figure describes the general flow for installing and configuring BMC PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite.
Getting started with BMC PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite

If you are a new user of PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite or upgrading from an earlier version, you must install the new PATROL knowledge module files. For more detailed information about installing the PATROL knowledge module files, refer to the PATROL Installation Guide for your operating system console.
After installing PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite, you must load the PATROL knowledge module into the PATROL Console. Refer to Installing components for instructions.
In order to monitor your Oracle Applications system, you must set up an Application ID specific to your Oracle Applications system configuration. Refer to Configuring the application system for detailed instructions.
Finally, you might want to set up a response time probe to receive direct end-to-end performance measurement of executed Oracle Applications database queries from selected clients. For more information, see Setting up the PATROL for Oracle E-Business Suite Probe.
When you start PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite for the first time, you should perform tasks to customize PATROL specifically to your environment. PATROL will monitor your Oracle Applications system after you set up the Application ID, but default thresholds might not be appropriate for your specific environment. For more information, see Customizing PATROL for Oracle E-Business Suite.
