Forms Server Access Information Fields dialog box


Use this dialog box to set up or modify a forms server.

Field

Description

Port Number

Enter the port number of the forms server process. On version 12, this port is on the application server that runs the forms server.

Pool Option

Enter the number of processes running in reserve for user requests. This is an optional field.

Username

Enter the user name of the operating system account that will be used to restart the forms server if it fails. This account must be authorized to restart the forms server if automated restart of the forms server is to be enabled. Configuration can be completed with any account authorized to perform ps-ef on the target server, if automated recovery is not required.

Note: If the ps -efl command is used in your environment, use the Define ps command style menu command of the OA_ALL_SYS application class to switch to the ps -efl command setting through the Define ps command style dialog box.

Password

Enter the password of the OS account that will be used to restart the forms server if it fails. This account must be authorized to restart the forms server.

Forms Installation Oracle Home

Enter the $ORACLE_HOME directory on the forms server.

Forms Server Environment File

Enter the full path location and file name of the environment file on the forms server, used to start the forms server. The default file name depends on your version of Oracle Applications:

  • on version 10.7 and 11.0.3: APPSYS.env
  • on version 11i: APPSORA.env
  • on version 12: APPSsid_node.env

Mode

Enter the forms server communication mode, either socket or servlet.

Executable ("exe" Parameter)

Enter the name of the executable which is started by the forms server, typically f60webmx on version 11i and frmweb on version 12.

Accept

Click this button to accept your selections and start the desired action.

Exit

Click this button to exit from the function.
