Viewing, changing, or deleting Probe instances

This topic describes how to view, change, or delete an existing response time Probe instance. It contains the following information:

To view a Probe Instance setup

1. Select Configuration > Probe Agent Setup from the PROBE_MON menu. The Probe Agent Configuration dialog box appears.
2. Select the Probe ID you want to view, and click View.
3. Click Accept.
   Since you chose the View option, the Probe Agent Configuration dialog box that appears is a read-only dialog box.
4. Click Cancel to close the dialog box.

To change a Probe Instance ID

1. Select Configuration > Probe Agent Setup from the PROBE_MON menu.
   Select the Probe ID you want to change, and click Modify.
2. Click Accept.
   The Probe Agent Configuration dialog box displays the information for the selected Probe ID.
   Change the information for the Probe ID as necessary.
3. Click Accept.
   The changed Probe ID configuration is validated. If the configuration passes the validation successfully, the Probe ID's configuration is changed. If the configuration fails the validation, the Probe Agent Configuration dialog box will reappear to allow for error correction.

To delete a Probe Instance ID

1. Select Configuration > Probe Agent Setup from the PROBE_MON menu.
2. Select the Probe ID you want to delete, and click Delete.
3. Click Accept. A confirmation box asks if you want to delete the Probe ID.
4. Click Yes. The Probe ID icon will be deleted in the next polling cycle.
