Configuring BMC PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite
The following flow chart describes the configuration of BMC PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite for monitoring your Oracle Applications system.
Setting up BMC PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite

The information required to configure the Application instance will differ depending on your Oracle Applications system configuration.
If you are using a middle-tier server such as a web server or forms server, the middle-tier server setup procedure is optional. If you do not configure PATROL to monitor the middle-tier server, BMC PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite will not discover or monitor the server, but this will not affect database server monitoring. For instructions on configuring middle-tier servers, see Configuring-middle-tier-servers.
After configuring the application system, BMC PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite provides default threshold settings, which it uses to monitor your Oracle Applications environment. Because these threshold setting might not be appropriate for your environment, BMC PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite allows you to change the threshold settings.
Setting up the BMC PATROL for Oracle e-Business Suite Response-Time Probe is optional. You can set up the response-time probe to provide direct end-to-end performance measurement of executed Oracle Applications database queries from selected desktop clients. For more information, see Setting-up-the-BMC-PATROL-for-Oracle-e-Business-Suite-Probe.
