Configuring an Apache server
You can configure an Apache server for monitoring either during the initial configuration of your instance, or after an instance has already been configured.
- To configure the Apache server during the initial setup of your system, after selecting Apache Server in the Optional Servers field of the Add-OA-Server-Configuration-dialog-box, the OA Server Configuration for Apache Server dialog box appears. Proceed with Step 5 below.
- To add an Apache server for monitoring after your instance has been configured, perform the following procedure.
To configure an Apache server for monitoring
- From the Oracle_Apps MainMap hostName menu, select OA Configuration.
The KM-Configuration-for-Oracle-Applications-dialog-box appears, listing the application IDs that have been configured. - Select the Application ID you want to change, select Modify KM Configuration, and click Accept.
The Modify-OA-Server-Configuration-dialog-box appears. - In the OA Password field, type the password for the Oracle Applications database account
- From the Optional Server field, select the Apache Server check box.
- Click Accept.
The Configure Middle-Tier Servers dialog box appears. - Select the middle-tier server ID you want to change, select Add, and click Accept.
The Add OA Server Configuration - Apache Server Information dialog box appears. - From the PATROL Agents Run On list, select the server host on which the Apache server resides. If more than one option is available, select the host and port number running a BMC Patrol Agent, with the UNIX KM monitoring the middle tier server that you want to configure.
- Type the name and password of the OS account that manages the web processes.
If you want to configure the Apache server using a server host that does not appear on the list, do not select a server host, but fill in the other fields. - In the field Apache Scripts Directory Location, type the full path where the adapcctl.sh script file is located. This path value was entered during the installation of the instance for 11i or later. Refer to your installation notes to find this value.
- Click Accept.
If you selected a server host from the PATROL Agents Run On list, the Apache server is configured, and you can skip the following steps.
If you did not select a server host, the Add Middle-Tier Server Host dialog box appears. - Enter the server host access information into the appropriate fields, and click Accept.
The Apache server is configured for monitoring.
