Add Modify Probe Agent Information dialog box (2-tier)


Use this dialog box to set up or modify a probe agent in a 2-tier environment.

Configuration field

Description

PROBE AGENT INFORMATION

 

Probe ID

The name of the Probe instance (use any unique name to label the Probe instance icon)

Agent Host

The name or IP address of the Agent machine where you have loaded the Probe knowledge module files

Agent Port

The port number of the Agent machine where you have loaded the Probe knowledge module files

PATROL Account

The user name of the PATROL Agent account defined on the Probe host

Password

The password of the PATROL Agent account defined on the Probe host

DATABASE INFORMATION USED BY PROBE AGENT

 

Oracle SID

The SID of the Oracle database used in the applications system

Oracle Home

The path of the $ORACLE_HOME on any Oracle client for the Probe Agent to use.

Note: If the Probe server is configured on an NT agent, you have to configure the Oracle Home variable as the Oracle Client Home directory.

Service

Optional field, required for remote database

DB Account

The database apps account name

Password

The database apps account password
