Add Instances dialog box
Use this box to add an instance to the list of local and remote instances that PATROL can configure to be monitored:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Name | The Oracle SID for an instance |
Home | The home directory for Oracle for this instance (Note: The Oracle home environment variable is stored on the database server in a standard configuration, or on the application server if you are using a stand-alone database server) |
Service | The connect string to use for a remote instance (Remote Oracle SID.remote hostname) |
Username | The user ID of any valid database account |
Password | The password for the specified user ID (Note: This information is used only this one time during configuration, to validate the database instance) |
Apply accepts your selections, and starts the process of adding the instance to the list of instances to be configured.
Exit cancels the entire operation.
