WebLogic Server 11.x, 10.x, 9.x


This topic provides information about configuring the WebLogic Server 11.x, 10.x, 9.x by using Central Monitoring Administration.

On the Add Monitor Types dialog, with the Monitoring Profile set to Oracle WebLogic, and the Monitor Type set to WebLogic Server 11.x, 10.x, 9.x, provide the following details:

Description

Environment Configuration

Environment name

Specify the environment  unique name for WebLogic Server. The name should not have special characters.

Host IP

Specify the host name or IP address of the WebLogic Server you want to monitor.

Port

Specify the port number of the WebLogic Server. The default port number is 7001.

Protocol

Select the protocol for monitoring WebLogic Server from the available list:

  • T3: For unsecure WebLogic Server
  • T3S with one way SSL: For secure WebLogic Server
  • T3S with two way SSL: For secure WebLogic Server

WebLogic user name

Specify the WebLogic Server administration user name.

This field is optional if you are using a two way SSL connection with digital certification.

WebLogic password

Specify the WebLogic Server administration password.

Monitor admin server as standalone

Enable this option if you want to monitor WebLogic admin server as managed server and not as full domain

WebLogic setup script

Specify the WebLogic local script (path and script name).

Local WebLogic Administrator OS Account

Specify the local administration OS account user name of the local installation of WebLogic.

Local WebLogic Administrator OS Password

Specify the local administration OS password of the local installation of WebLogic.

Monitor Data

Collection level

Select of the following option for collecting data:

  • Server and application availability : Only the availability server status and application parameters will collect data.
  • General health: Availability status parameters, Thread Pools application class parameters, and Server Resources application class parameters will collect data.
  • Full data monitoring: All the parameters will collect data.
  • Custom data monitoring: You can choose application class parameters for collecting data

T3S Certificate Details

Server Trust Key Store

Specify the server trust key store value, which is required for one way SSL and two way SSL. The default value is DemoTrust.

Key store file name

Specify the key store file name for two way SSL connections.

Key store password

Specify the key store password for two way SSL connections.

Certificate key alias

Specify the certificate key alias for two way SSL connections.

Certificate key password

Specify the certificate key password for two way SSL connections.

KM Administration

Optional JVM args

Specify the option Java Virtual Machine args for the WebLogic KM Java collector.

Java log level

Select one of the following levels of Java log level:

  • Info
  • Fine
  • Finest

Availability collection time (min)

Select the availability collection time in minutes. The minimum collection time is one minute and the maximum collection time is 60 minutes.

Data collection time (min)

Select the data collection time in minutes. The minimum collection time is five minutes and the maximum collection time is 60 minutes.

Disable device mapping

Select the check box to disable device mapping on the BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management Console.

Generate WebLogic diagnostic report

Select the check box to generate diagnostic report for every WebLogic Server that is running with all the collection data.

MBean Rules

Condition name

Specify the condition name.

MBean name

Specify the name of the MBean.

MBean type

Specify the type of the MBean.

Attribute name

Specify the attribute name.

WebLogic Server name

Enter the Server name to which the rules should be applied.

Condition type selection

Select one of the following condition type:

  • Numeric Condition
  • Boolean Condition
  • String Condition

String attribute qualifier

Click the button to specify the string attribute qualifier

If string value is

Select one of the following qualifier and enter the string in the text field:

  • equal to
  • not equal to
  • contains
  • does not contain

Add to List

To add the configured MBean rule to the list of MBean rules, click the button.

Modify Selection

To modify the configured MBean rule to the list of MBean rules, click the button.

Remove from List

To remove the configured MBean rule to the list of MBean rules, click the button.

Add to List

Click this option for confirming the configuration information that you provided and adding the environments to the list of Oracle WebLogic environments. 

Modify Selection

Select one of the items that you added to the list in the preceding step, and click this option to modify details.

Remove from List

Select the items added earlier and click this option to delete that item from the list of configured objects and the clear the details provided in the earlier fields.

Add

Click this option to add this monitoring configuration. This information is displayed on the Monitor Configuration page.

After you click this option, you can continue to add more objects for monitoring.

Reset

Click this option to clear off your configuration details and revert to default settings.

Close

Click this option to exit without saving any changes.
