Monitoring Events

The Tuxedo Event Monitor detects and reports defined events--primarily failures--of which a system operator should be aware. The BEATUX_EVENT application forwards system events from the Tuxedo Event Broker to the PATROL Event Manager. For more information, see Managing Tuxedo Events with Expert Advice.

Types of events to be monitored are defined by subscribing to events through the event broker, which adds them to an event catalog.

You can perform the following tasks to monitor events:

If the BEATUX_EVENT icon is not displayed, check your TUXCONFIG file to verify that user or system events (TMUSREVT or TMSYSEVT) are defined.
