Migrating the Master Machine

Perform the following task to migrate Tuxedo administrative functions from the designated master machine to a backup machine.

Migrating a master machine moves the DBBL to the backup machine and enables the backup machine to be used as the new master machine.

Before you begin

 

Ensure that you have completed the following items:

  • Installed the PATROL Agent and Console and have them running
  • Loaded and configured the PATROL KM for Tuxedo

To Migrate the Master Machine

  1. Right-click the BEATUX_MIGRATION application icon of the backup machine that you want to designate as the new master.
  2. Choose KM Commands > Migrate Master.
     Status messages will be displayed in an output window.
