Migrating a Machine


Perform the following task to migrate server groups from one machine to another.

Migrating a machine will shut down a selected machine, moving all of its groups to an alternate machine.

Before you begin

 

Ensure that you have completed the following items:

  • Installed the PATROL Agent and Console and have them running
  • Loaded and configured the PATROL KM for Tuxedo

To Migrate a Machine

  1. Right-click the BEATUX_MIGRATION application icon.
  2. Choose KM Commands > Migrate Machine.
     The Migrate Machine Instance dialog box appears.
  3. From the list of available machine instances, click the machine you want migrated and shutdown.
  4. Click OK.
     A dialog box appears telling you that the machine will be shut down.
  5. Click OK to complete the migration or Cancel to stop the shutdown operation, leaving the groups where they were.
