Managing the Access Control List
The PATROL for Oracle Tuxedo provides options for maintaining the Tuxedo system's access control list.
You can perform the following tasks to manage the access control list:
The Tuxedo system provides several levels of security:
- Operating system level security uses the underlying operating system login mechanism and read/write permissions on files, directories, and system resources to control access to Tuxedo.
- Application password level security requires every client to provide a password to join a Tuxedo application.
- User authentication level security authenticates each individual user by means of a per-user password or some other mechanism.
- Access Control Lists (ACLs) authenticate users not only when joining a Tuxedo application but also when accessing application entities such as services.
