Viewing AutoScan Log File Contents


Perform the following task to view the contents of any of the common log files located by the AutoScan feature (see Managing Log Files).

This task will view running Tuxedo server output files produced by specifying -o servopts in server's CLOPT, or all log files under the PeopleSoft $PS_HOME/appserv//LOGS* and $PS_HOME/appserv/prcs//LOGS* directories.

Before you begin


Ensure that you have completed the following items:

  • installed the PATROL for Oracle Tuxedo PATROL for Oracle Tuxedo and PATROL for Oracle Tuxedo and have them running
  • loaded and configured the PATROL for Oracle Tuxedo PATROL for Oracle Tuxedo for Tuxedo

To View AutoScan Log Files

  1. Double-click the APPS_LOGS icon.
  2. Right-click the log instance icon.
  3. Choose KM Commands => View => View AutoScan LOG Files.
     The View Log File dialog box appears, listing all of the common log files used in your environment:

  4. Click the log file you want to view.
  5. Click View

    Note

    If you select a PeopleSoft log file, you will be prompted to enter the value of your PS_HOME environment variable.

    The log file appears in a PATROL output window.
