Initiating a Quick ULOG Search


Perform the following task to initiate a User Log (ULOG) search.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have completed the following items:

  • Installed the PATROL Agent and Console and have them running
  • Loaded and configured the PATROL KM for Tuxedo

To Initiate a Quick ULOG Search

  1. Right-click the BEATUX_SYSTEM application icon.
  2. Choose KM Commands > Reports > Quick ULOG Search.
     The Ulog Search Report dialog box appears.

  3. Select from any or all of the following options to customize your query:
    • To select a specific amount of the most recent messages logged, select the check box beside Display Last. Enter the maximum number of messages to retrieve in Display Last. If you do not specify a number, 10 messages will be retrieved.
    • To select a specific type of message, select one of the following items in Message Type:
      • INFO—informational messages
      • WARN—warning messages
      • ERROR—error messages
      • ANY—any messages
    • To search for messages containing particular types of data (such as specific words or numbers), select the check box next to Display Messages with the search pattern. Enter the search pattern in the field.
    • To include only message in today's log, select the check box beside Today's Logs. To include messages from past logs as well as today's, deselect the check box.
  4. Click Accept to begin the query.
