Creating a Queue Device


 Perform the following task to create the queue device on which Tuxedo will create a queue device.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have completed the following items:


    • Installed the PATROL Agent and Console and have them running
    • Loaded and configured the PATROL for Oracle Tuxedo

To Create a Queue Device

  1. Right-click the BEATUX_MANAGEMENT application icon.
  2. Choose KM Commands > Queue Management > Create Queue Device.
     The Create Master Machine Q Device dialog box appears.

  3. Complete the Create Master Machine Q Device dialog box as follows:
    • In Device Full Name, enter the full path name you wish to assign this device.
    • In Starting Offset, enter a number for the offset at which the queue space begins for use within Tuxedo System/T.
    • In Size in Disk Pages, enter the number of disk pages this queue space will occupy.
  4. Click OK to create the queue device.
