Setting PSL Debug Options


Perform the following task to set options for the PATCOL debug process.

Before you begin

 

Ensure that you have completed the following items:

  • Installed the PATROL Agent and Console and have them running
  • Loaded and configured the PATROL KM for Tuxedo

To Set PSL Debug Options

  1. Right-click the BEATUX_SYSTEM application icon.
  2. Choose KM Commands > KM Admin. > Set PSL Debug.
     The Set PSL DEBUG Flag dialog box appears.

  3. Select the following options as needed:
    • Enable run-time error checking --set all error checking flag bits
    • Enable Function call tracing --report which functions are called but do not return information about the arguments
    • Enable function argument tracing --report the arguments passed to all user-defined or built-in functions
    • Enable function return value tracing --report the value returned by calls to all user defined, or built in functions
    • Enable variable assignment tracing --report the variable name (if available) and the value assigned to it
    • Enable errno tracing --report any nonzero value stored in the PSL errno variable
    • Enable PSL lock tracing --report the interprocess actions that occur during lock() and unlock() function processing, including the granting, denying, and releasing of locks
  4. Click Accept.

    Warning

    Note

    Turn off the Debug Flag by deselecting any checked options, then clicking Accept.
