Automatically Updating Console with New Tuxedo Configuration


Perform the following task to configure PATROL for Oracle Tuxedo to automatically detect changes in the tuxconfig file and to update the PATROL KM configuration with new settings.

This feature cleans the KM configuration; all groups and servers that were previously registered for monitoring are no longer registered.

Warning

Note

BMC Software does not recommend using this function. The preferred procedure after changing a Tuxedo configuration is to reinitialize the PATROL Agent or unregister and re-register Tuxedo instances.

Before you begin

 

Ensure that you have completed the following items:

  • Installed the PATROL Agent and Console and have them running
  • Loaded and configured the PATROL KM for Tuxedo

To Enable Automatic Update of KM Console Configuration:

  1. Right-click the BEATUX_SYSTEM application icon.
  2. Choose KM Commands > KM Admin. > Configuration > KM Console Update.
     The Update KM Console with New Tuxedo Configuration dialog box appears.
  3. Click Enable Update the KM Console.
  4. Click OK.
