Shutting Down a Tuxedo Server


Perform the following task to shut down a Tuxedo application server.

The server icon disappears if the server remains shutdown for longer than one collection cycle.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have completed the following items:

  • Installed the PATROL Agent and Console and have them running
  • Loaded and configured the PATROL KM for Tuxedo

To Shut Down a Tuxedo Server

Right-click the BEATUX_SERVER application icon, and choose KM Commands > Shutdown Server.

Warning

Note

TMS servers or gateway servers, that is, SRVID greater than 30000, should only be shutdown using the Shutdown Group menu command of the SERVER group. The BBL should be shutdown from the Shutdown Domain menu.For Windows NT: If the collector process (PATCOL) terminates, restart PATCOL from the BEATUX_ SYSTEM icon or use the native Tuxedo tmshutdown command.
