Architecture

This section describes how components in the PATROL for Oracle Tuxedo product are organized and where you should expect to find application classes after you complete the product installation and configuration process. It also describes how the product monitors and collects performance and transaction data from your Oracle Tuxedo environment.

Data Collection in the Oracle Tuxedo Environment

PATROL for Oracle Tuxedo consists of a PATROL Console and a PATROL Agent component. The PATROL Console portion contains the PATROL Graphical User Interface (GUI) and the PATROL for Oracle Tuxedo KM. 
The PATROL Agent portion contains the PATROL Agent, PATROL for Oracle Tuxedo, and the PATROL Tuxedo KM Collector (also known as PATCOL), as shown in the following figure:
