New Log Sniff Pattern dialog box
Use this dialog to define a pattern matching string, called a sniff pattern, to monitor entries in a log file.

Sniff Pattern | Enter the string pattern or regular expression |
Event Type | Choose ERROR, WARNING, or INFORMATION |
Patrol Event Trigger? | Click to log events in the PATROL Event Manager |
Annotate Information | Click to annotate data points in the LogEvent parameter with matched text |
PATROL Event Class | Enter the PATROL Event Class: predefined classes include ERROR_PATTERN, WARNING_PATTERN, or INFORMATION_PATTERN |
Pattern Threshold | Enter the number of times that a pattern must be registered before an event is sent to the PATROL Event manager |
