Error
Warning

This feature is no longer supported by any of the KM's supported versions. From version 9.7.11.01, the feature is no longer available. For more information see, 9-7-11-01-Fix-pack-1-for-PATROL-for-Oracle-Database.

You can view the SQL statements for a particular user session. If a session's SQL statement is taking more CPU or resources than necessary, you can terminate the session.

To view the text of a user session, choose SQL > Viewer > Kill Session from the INSTANCE menu. Select the user session whose SQL statement you want to see, click View SQL and click Accept.

The SQL statement for the selected user session appears in a response box. Analyze the statement to determine whether the user session should be terminated.

Click Accept to close the response box and return to the Current Active Users dialog box, or click Cancel to close the dialog box.

To terminate a use session, choose SQL > Viewer > Kill Session from the INSTANCE menu. Select the user session that you want to kill, click Kill Session, and click Accept.

Enter the authorized user name and password ( SYS or DBA) in the entry fields and click Accept. The session is immediately terminated.
