Monitoring SQL statements
From PATROL for Oracle, you can use the following functions to obtain information about SQL commands used in Oracle processes:
- SQL Snapshot displays the last SQL statement sent by a client process. You can use SQL Snapshot to examine the SQL statements being currently executed by a problem process.
- SQL Viewer captures all SQL statements that are sent in the instance during a time interval. You can use SQL Viewer to examine all SQL statements in a polling cycle to find trends or continuous problems.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
