The ASM instance is removed from monitoring. PATROL for Oracle removes the ASM Instance and its child objects: disk groups, disk group parameters, disk, and disk parameters from monitoring. It also deletes the following pconfig variables for ASM:

  • /ASMConfig. ASMInstaName.ASMHome
  • /ASMConfig. ASMInstaName. DiskGroupName_DList
  • /ASMConfig ASMInstaName.DGList
  • /ASMConfig ASMInstaName.rdbmsVersion
  • /ASMConfig.Instances
  • /AgentSetup/ORACLE_ASM_DGROUP. ASMInstaName.defaultAccount
  • /AgentSetup/ORACLE_ASM_DISK. ASMInstaName.defaultAccount
  • /AgentSetup/ORACLE_ASM_INSTANCE ASMInstaName.defaultAccount

For more information about pconfig variables, see pconfig variables set by PATROL for Oracle.
