Oracle Archive Log Destination (ORACLE_ARCHIVE_SPEC)
This application represents the destinations for the archives. During discovery, an Archive Specific application class instance is created for each archive destination discovered for the instance. The Archive Specific application class instances are placed under the ORACLE_ARCHIVE instance. The Archive Spec application class is always active after an instance has been configured, provided that the instance is in archive log mode.
The icons for the Archive Specific application are labeled LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_N, where N = 1 for the first instance, 2 for the second, and so on.
- Use the ORACLE_ARCHIVE application when using the log_archive_dest_n syntax. The ORACLE_ARCHIVE application works for single or multiple destinations. If you are using the log_archive_dest syntax and have only one destination, use the ArchFreeSpace parameter in the AVAILABILITY application.
- When you load ORACLE_ARCHIVE.kml, the ArchFreeSpace parameter in the AVAILABILITY application goes offline.
- The ORACLE_ARCHIVE rulesets directory resides on the PATROL console.
